Hearing about the conflict in countries like Syria really puts my petty little problems in perspecive. Here I am stressing about my exams, my weight and hair whilst somewhere else in the world there are people living in constant fear of attack or in having already lost their loved ones are wondering who to turn to; where to get their next meal.

Contrary to common practice, you don’t need to always seek out requests for people to pray for you. You can complain to God of your grief and sorrow directly to Him, as He said ‘call upon Me and I shall respond’. But, praying for someone is an extremely amazing experience because while you’re making dua’ for that person, the Angels make the same dua’ for you.
